Normally, when you were following this tutorial, you used Linux. I don’t think it’s possible with Windows, or it would be really hard. Even if you use an IDE, you still need command line sometimes. I believe that Ubuntu is quite popular for Android development or even development in general. Another advantage is that Ubuntu is faster than Windows, especially with Windows 10 which is so slow. I can’t suggest you another system than Linux, but if you don’t like Ubuntu interface, know that there is also Linux Mint which is similar, but with more standard interface.
